My 3 favorite resources shared by other children's ministries

If you haven't seen it yet, we have an incredible new Shared Resource platform on our new website!

What is it?

It's a place where KidMin leaders like yourself can share helpful resources with one another. It's sort of like a "give a penny, take a penny" tray, but with children's ministry documents. Want to see what I'm talking about?

Here are 3 of my favorite docs...

(READ BELOW TO SEE HOW TO GET THEM.)

1. VBS Volunteer Handbook

Don't be fooled by the branding.

This is an original creation from the

team at Florence Baptist Church.

It includes:

  • Rotation guides

  • Volunteer job descriptions

  • Schedules

  • Rotation leader expectations

  • Discipline policies

  • Safety guidelines

  • Follow up communications

  • and MUCH MORE!

It's a GOLDMINE of info whether you're

new to VBS or a veteran looking to see

how other leaders roll.

2. Guide to Salvation

This step-by-step guide to salvation from Compass Kids is an awesome

little resource that lays out the gospel

of Jesus in a way that is simple to

understand for elementary-age kids.

Using both kid friendly language

and illustrations, it walks them through...

  • God's design for people

  • The problem of sin

  • The solution through the cross

  • and the choice we have

It also includes a sample salvation prayer.

If you're looking to create your own,

this is a great place to start!

3. Large Group Teacher Training

If you're looking to help your teacher's

improve their communication skills,

then this is the doc for you!

This is nothing short of a masters class

in public speaking! It covers:

  • Authenticity and Transparency

  • Knowing your Audience

  • Preparation and Memorization

  • Blocking and Movement

  • Using your Voice

  • Strategizing a "Moment"

This document also includes a handout

in case you want to teach this as a class.

Business leaders pay BIG $$$ for this level of class!

AND SO MUCH MORE...

We currently have over 100 documents and the number is growing every day! Here are the kind of documents you'll find in the Shared Resources area:

  • Children’s Ministry handbook

  • Volunteer recruiting

  • Volunteer handbooks

  • Volunteer Training

  • Volunteer job descriptions

  • Children’s Ministry staff job descriptions

  • Social media policy/covenants

  • Safety and Wellness

  • Special needs

  • Baptism and Child Dedication

  • Classes

  • Promotion Sunday

  • Registration and Admin

  • And more!!!

Here's how to access ALL of those Shared Resources...

Step 1: If you haven't already, sign up for a free GO! account. (Or login if you already have an account.)

Step 2: On the Account Dashboard, click on the "Shared Resources" tab.

Step 3: To get into the Shared Resources area, you'll need a password. How do you get it? Simple...

Follow the instructions to share one or more documents with us that you think would be helpful to the KidMin community, then we'll automatically send you the password. By doing this, the number of resources available will grow bigger, and bigger, and BIGGER!

(Don't worry if you don't think you have anything "Top 3" worthy! Just share what you think would be most helpful to other KidMin leaders.)
