With Christmas just around the corner, I wanted to share some budget-friendly and easy ideas that will bring cheer to your classroom. You can even include the kids in some of them! I hope you and your KidMin enjoy bringing these festive ideas to life as much as I did putting them together!
Balloon Christmas Lights

For materials and step-by-step directions on how to make the balloon Christmas lights, click here. You can also create something similar with paper instead of balloons!
Paper Plate Tree

It's amazing what you can do with some colored paper plates. For example, use green plates to make this Christmas tree. You could also use red and white plates to make giant candy canes. Or use red, green and white plates to simply create cool geometric designs with Christmas colors.
Snowman Door

This is a fun idea for the doors in your KidMin, especially the white ones.
Paint Swatch Art

There are several different easy decorations you can do with paint swatches! You can make garland (pictured above), ornaments, thank you cards, gift tags, and so much more. You can also have your kids decorate all of these too!
Hymnal Book Art

Do you have old hymnal pages laying around the church? Or old vintage books? It's time to repurpose them! You can easily make a banner (pictured above) or a wreath with them.
DIY Christmas Tree

Here's another Christmas tree you can make with streamers. Want to get the kids involved? Create a Christmas tree made from paper links. Or you can have everyone create one small piece of the tree and put them all together to make a big tree!
Hallway Streamers

While you've got the streamers out, decorate your hallway with some festive cheer. Add snowflakes to give it a wintery feel.
Fun with Boxes

If you have extra boxes laying around from all those black Friday Amazon deliveries - you can put them to use and make a snowman out of them! Or wrap them in gift wrap and add letters to spell out words for some added Christmas cheer!
