Sneak Peek: Super Duper Bible Box
It's coming, it's coming! As many of you know, GO! curriculum for preschool is coming soon. The curriculum calendar is set to begin in August and the lessons will be available for purchase in June. In the meantime, we're giving you some sneak peaks. Today's sneak peek: THE SUPER DUPER BIBLE BOX If you're thinking, "Wow! That sounds super duper!" then you're right on! You might also be thinking, "What in the world is a Super Duper Bible Box?" Great question! Preschool is all about laying foundations and nothing is more foundational to the Christian faith than the Bible. So we wanted for GO! to create an experience that gives preschoolers a sense of awe and wonder for the Bible. Alas...the Super Duper Bible Box. Every week, before telling the Bible story, preschoolers will say their special Bible words: "It's true, it's true, the Bible is true." Upon saying the special words, the story teller will flip on the light inside the Super Duper Bible Box and the Bible will appear out of the darkness. Be prepared for a preschool chorus of "oohs" and "aahs." How does it work? The front of the box has a window cut out with special one-way mirrored paper in it. When the light in the box is turned off, the paper is reflective like a mirror. But when the light is turned on, the paper becomes transparent and the Bible appears. OOOOH! AAAAH! If you want to build your own Super Duper Bible Box, there are two ways to get your hands on the materials list and step-by-step instructions: 1. Subscribe to GO! for preschoolers when it becomes available in June. Not only does it include the instructions for creating the box, the lessons tell you exactly when and how to use it. 2. If you can't wait that long, you can download it right here.
